Kannaale Aamam Yenbene.... Thank You Shreya Goshal!!! Another ARR magic!!!! Another Maniratnam Signature Song!!! Well picturised, in a simply much better way to say " Absence makes the Heart grow fonder". Another Diamond from Kaviperarasu. Vairamuthu!!!! I give it to you Vairamuthu Sir!!! How subtle? Only you can do it. Passion!!! Passion at its best, can't be brought into words better than this in this context. Ummai Enni Ummai Enni Oomai kangal thoongaathu! Oomai Kangal- The Dumb Eyes won't sleep thinking about you... Wow!!! Vairamuthu Sir!!! I'll vouch it anywhere. Perfect usage of words. The lyricist/poet still adds beauty to this, when he says, ie., when the character says, Yen Aasai..Yen Aasai.. Naana Solven..?

Eyes remaining dumb/unspoken and sleepless at one place and Saying Yes at another. Thats the beauty of a language and the inspiration you gain after reading lots and lots of literature in your language. The song still gets polished and goes near to the feel of the character at its pinnacle, when she says,. Vaaram thorum azhagin baaram koodum koodum kuraiyaathu!!! ......Azhagin Baaram...OMG!!! How better to describe the pain of separation ? Simply mesmerising in a much much more mesmerising voice of Shreya Goshal.... Can't move on to the next song.... Had a curiosity to know, how best it is delivered in Hindi. It's of a different genre. Different similes used. May be, its not my cup of tea after listening to Vairamuthu Sir. The Hindi version is focussed describing more of her, like.. Khile re.. the jasmine is blooming it says... A different metaphor. Gulzarji's lyrics. I am not superior to comment on his. But, How you perceive the song situation in the movie; the version of the movie as such, matters. What I personally felt after listening to both the versions is, there is a lot of difference between, saying, "Come" and asking "Will you ?". That's where Vairamuthu Sir overpowers/take over Gulzarji. Yes! Even, Vairamuthu Sir has written certain intimate lines like Kai kondu paareero, but immediately he compensated it with " Kan kondu sereero". Thats where your mastering the subject/language is known. Thats really amazing. The way Vairamuthu Sir expressed it in such a subtle manner....God!!! Its awesome!!!! Just loved the way, he handled the lines .....Kalaiveero and.....Aniveero. The song is so delicate that at any point, it may slip from the hand, but the way he handled the minute line that demarcates passion, Hats off! Vairamuthu Sir!!! His way of starting a question taking the language to his assistance at " Vali migum idangal; Vali migaa idangal Thamizhukku therigirathey" is... only he can do that. Language and Passion going hand in hand. Language substituting Passion in a beautiful manner. Let many more lyricists come every day, Still, You're outstanding Vairamuthu Sir.

An amazing song that sweeps away the ears n mind listening to it at the very first instant. This is a beautiful, semi-classical song brilliantly sung by Shreya Ghoshal in a mind blowing way, along with Birju Maharaj giving his voice for the ‘taal’ sung here. The lyrics have a couple of ‘alankaars’, i.e. figures of speech, where words are used for two completely unrelated meanings, such as ‘laal' for the colour red and for son, and Hari for the colour green, as well as Lord Krishna again. You'll fall in love with the song for sure.
